Tonight Eugene is up working nose deep in his lap top....he mumbled something about what he was doing....all I got out of it was data and tables....so I thought I'd leave him be....I probably should be doing about a zillion things around the house or I should be fast asleep in bed, but instead I thought I'd update you all! Then it's straight to bed for sure...
Okay, so before I get into Thanksgiving you must first understand that my family does not believe in "extended family"...in my family no matter if it's your first cousin or your third cousin twice removed....they're still your cousin and we must keep up with each other, maybe it's a southern thing or something, not sure. It's really great because it's wonderful to know and be close to so much of your family, I'm not complaining at all....it just makes for some big holiday get togethers and with the rate that we're all procreating the crowd is getting big and fast!
Last Thursday morning all my T'ville family (10 of us) drove to Jacksonville to meet up with all of my moms family at my Great Aunt Gail's house for Thanksgiving dinner. I think there ended up being about 40 of us! It was alot of fun! Aunt Gail and Uncle David set up several tents in the back yard and we all ate outside, the weather was really nice and the kids had a blast playing outside! The joke was next year it would be BYOT or bring your own tent! Here are some pictures of all the kids....check out Claire's origami turkey hair bow...pretty cool huh? And yes, there was a slide, a bounce house, a volleyball net and horseshoes (not pictures).... and Yoda (aka Uncle David) visited the kids....come to think of it Thanksgiving was alot like a big ol party for them!
And you know what....I didn't take any pictures of all the adults....so just imagine 20 or so stuffed full adults sitting at long tables on the other side of the yard under a big white tent...that about summed it up for us...as for the kids, here's a big group shot of them!
Late in the afternoon the T'ville family all loaded up and headed up to the low county of South Carolina to visit with my Dad's family.....my grandma is one of 13 so the crowd is even bigger up there! I'll post tomorrow about the rest of our Thanksgiving weekend! I think this is enough for one night!

Why is this thing not letting me leave comments?
